There is always HOPE

This blog started as a reflection of events during my career. It was a great way to look at events and decisions that shaped my and direct me though the challenges of my career path and life.

That is how it stared anyway. As 2020 pushed us in ways we never expected, this blog paused, and ultimately changed direction. At the onset of COVID, it somehow seemed so insignificant to talk about first jobs and art projects that were, challenging at the time, but now meaningless as we faced the unknowns of this virus called Corona, Covid19 or as one person calls it “The China Virus”. We were in one of the most uncertain times of my life. I can only compare to the days immediately after 911.  ON 911, we were thrown into chaotic time with little understanding of why we were suddenly under attach. COVID was new, concerning, and no one really knew how it spread. It was a different sort of attach and it was GLOBAL. What recommended safeguards were based on fact and which ones were manufactured on Facebook were also a continuing blurred line.

COVID was shadowed by a political climate that was so hyper-charged it would divide friends and families and a nation. I found comfort in this blog. I started writing here and it seemed to help me vent and move on. It was not the intention of the blog, and I did feel that I should stay professional and focused, however, I also saw it as an opportunity to document a time in our lives, my life, that hopefully will never be repeated. My hope is to look back on this someday as blip of a distant memory. I’m starting to think that as we close 2020, the coming new year will be full of blossoming prosperity and opportunity.

My goal is to also bring the blog back to its original purpose. I debated on removing the non-career related posts, but I think its important to keep them as a reminder that even in dark times, There is HOPE!
